Meet the Midwife

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the sacredness of birth. I had the honor of witnessing the births of my three younger sisters.

Watching new life enter the world shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. But looking back now, I can see how God was gently preparing my heart for this work long before I stepped into it professionally.

I grew up in Texas then moved to Dothan as a young teenager, and this community quickly became home. I graduated from Wicksburg High School right here in the Wiregrass, which makes it especially meaningful to now serve the families in the very place that helped shape who I am.

My birth work journey officially began as a doula in 2020. It didn’t take long for me to realize I had found where I was meant to be, and I began midwifery school in 2021. I graduated from the National College of Midwifery in October 2023 and obtained Alabama licensure in December of 2023.

Whether you are planning a home birth or desiring experienced support while birthing in the hospital, my goal is the same; to help you feel safe, informed, and deeply supported as you move through your own unique birth story. I believe every family deserves care that is intentional, unrushed, and rooted in trust.

Outside of birth work, I’m married to my high school sweetheart and together we’re raising four amazing kids. Family life keeps me grounded and reminds me daily why this work matters so much.

Being invited into such a meaningful season of life is a blessing and something I never take lightly. My prayer is that every family I serve feels safe, seen, and supported.

Meet the Team

Diana Beddoe

Birth Assistant/ Doula

My name is Diana, I am a doula, homebirth assistant, and postpartum doula. My biggest goal in helping moms and families is to provide care that meets you where you are. I’m here to walk alongside you, not to tell you what your journey “should” be. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, navigating unexpected changes, or settling into life with a newborn, I’m here to offer steady, compassionate support without pressure or judgment. That might look like hands-on support during labor, a calm presence in your birth space, help with newborn care, or simply someone to sit with you during the tender, in-between moments of postpartum life. I’m there for the big moments—and the quiet ones too.

I am a mom of 3, with over 15 years of infant and early childhood education and experience, including being previous director of the Dothan Montessori School and manager of a government contracted childcare company. I have 9 years of doula experience and birth education in all types of births. Personally I have had a C-section, VBAC, and natural birth. I’m also a certified EMT as well as certified in CPR, and NRP. I know how vulnerable this season can be, and I don’t take it lightly. It would be an honor to be invited into such a meaningful time in your life. If you’re looking for support that feels calm, respectful, and truly centered on you, I’d love to connect.
